I became Chair of Bishopston Community Council in October 2023.

I originally hail from Pembrokeshire and now live with my husband in Murton having relocated from Berkshire in 2019. Having spent my career in music education, both as a secondary school teacher and most recently as CEO of the Berkshire Young Musicians Trust, I have had a lifelong interest in supporting opportunities for young people to engage in musical and creative arts activities. I am currently a governor for Bishopston Primary School, an active saxophone player with the City of Swansea Concert Band and Beenham Wind Orchestra and Sax Quartet.

I am a member of the Gower Community Group where, along with other councillors, I help run our monthly ‘coffee, cake and chat mornings‘ which enables members of our community to meet and enjoy social interaction. My aim as a BCC councillor is to support the council and local community in developing our village, whether it is through providing an exciting range of community events and activities, improving our existing facilities for all age groups to enjoy or working with my colleagues to raise funds for future initiatives.
