I live in Bishopston, with my husband and 3 children who attend the local Bishopston Primary and Comprehensive School with my eldest at an International College UWCD, in Armenia.  Professionally I have worked for over 20 years commercially, in a variety of national and international roles from logistics, sales, marketing and event management.  More recently, I spent 4 years at Swansea University as a Project Officer, and I now work for the Life Sciences Hub Wales as a Project Lead, supporting the introduction of innovation into the Welsh Health & Social Care sector while supporting local businesses.

I have been a member of the Bishopston Community Council (BCC) since early 2021, bringing experience from both my professional and personal capacity, as a mum, and an active member of the community youth group, Bishopston Skatepark Project.  Since joining, I have worked hard to provide everybody in the ward with the opportunity to engage more with the BCC, its activities, events and provide them with a voice.  This was demonstrated when we worked with local community groups and business to gain funding from the National Lottery to run the successful Platinum Jubilee Festival and build a local Boules Court.   I am also keen to explore more ways of community support (so please come to us with ideas!) and better engagement, such as social media, our lovely monthly coffee & cake mornings and the development of this new BCC website.

I looking forward to working with you all, to continue to make our community a great place for everybody to live, work and enjoy!
